The Director
of the ARCM is Dr. Arthur L. Lage. Under his direction,
the following responsibilities are carried out by the
Center:
- Animal
purchase and reciept, quarantine for non-approved
suppliers
- Daily
animal husbandry, cleaning and vermin control
- Animal
health surveillance and quality assurance programs
- Preventive
medicine, veterinary medical care and emergency
treatment
- Environmental
enrichment and exercise programs
- Institutional
compliance with animal welfare regulations, standards
and
policies
- Personnel
training courses and consultation
